A Celebration Begins
Lakbay Sining 2026 officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Sabangan Beach Resort, attended by Ms. Elsie Iyas-Sadsad, Municipal Tourism Officer of San Juan, Batangas; Mr. Carlos Castro, President of the San Juan Artist Group; Mrs. Sylvia Marasigan, President of the Culture and Arts Council; and Mr. Wensley Llana, Barangay Captain of Laiya Aplaya. The ceremony was hosted by Ms. Anna Salvador, Director of Sabangan Resort Inc., marking the beginning of a month-long celebration of art, culture, and community.
The Meaning Behind "Anihan"
This year's exhibition carries the theme "Anihan," a Filipino word that represents far more than the harvest season. It symbolizes gratitude for the blessings earned through dedication, hard work, and the collective efforts of a community.

Coming after the town fiesta celebrated every May 16, it serves as a reflection on the blessings received and shared throughout the year.
